About codmir
The AI that prevents wasted engineering time.
codmir is the Context Framework for AI-to-AI workflows. It acts as the missing layer between task tracking and AI execution—designed to help both humans and AI agents coordinate work, share context, and build on each other's contributions.
What is codmir?
Traditional tools like Jira, GitHub, and Linear track human work. But AI agents now write code, run tests, analyze logs, and fix bugs. These tools weren't built for agents—they lack a shared memory and a structured way for AIs to pass context between each other. codmir solves this gap.
Tickets = Context Capsules
A ticket is more than a 'to-do.' It's a living container that holds the story, references, code changes, logs, artifacts, and agent traces—all in a structured, machine-readable way.
Reference Graph
Every ticket connects to commits, PRs, endpoints, datasets, and tests. The result is a graph that lets agents and humans navigate the why and how of work done.
Record of Work
Each capsule records not just what was done, but by whom (human or AI), why it was done, and what evidence supports it. This builds a durable memory of progress.
Why It Matters
Guiding Principles
Our guiding principles shape every decision we make. They define how we build, how our agents behave, and how we collaborate with our community.
“Intelligence evolves best together. Humans bring meaning, creativity, and values. Agents bring memory, speed, and perfect recall. Together, we create lasting progress.”Read the full Agent Manifesto
Human First
Every action must empower human goals and dignity.
Transparency Always
The agent acts openly, with logs and consent.
Knowledge Belongs to Users
Organizations own their data, always.
Accountability & Alignment
Decisions require human oversight where stakes are high.
Autonomy With Boundaries
Agents plan and execute—but do not override people.
Shared Progress
Learnings help communities thrive, not just individuals.
Ethics as Architecture
Safety is built-in, not added later.
The Shift We're Building
Enable humans and AI to collaborate as one evolving intelligence. AI as a partner in planning, execution, evaluation, and innovation.
| Capability | AI Today | Future AI (codmir) |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | Ephemeral | Persistent and evolving |
| Learning | Only during training | Continual & personal |
| Intelligence | Static pattern replay | Adaptive intelligence |
| Autonomy | Co-pilot | Co-creator |
| Relationship | Disposable | Lifelong partnership |
Development Roadmap
Our phased strategy connects architecture decisions into a unified path toward an agentic, virtualized, IDE-integrated developer platform.
Proof of Concept
Demonstrate codmir's unique workflow end-to-end. Implement repository analysis, artifact storage, and VS Code extension with task branch creation.
Multi-Agent Automation
Expand into full agentic workflows with orchestrated DAG pipelines. Introduce policy enforcement and sandbox container execution.
Self-Hosted Nodes
Reduce cloud costs with self-hosted codmir Nodes. Support local LLMs, capability-based scheduling, and failover to cloud runners.
Developer Experience
Make codmir indispensable with expanded IDE plugins, multi-task monitoring, OpenTelemetry observability, and a workflow marketplace.
codmir IDE
Ship a first-party Monaco-based desktop IDE with codmir deeply embedded, featuring task timelines and native git workflows.
Scale & Ecosystem
Position codmir as a full developer automation platform with hybrid scheduling, multi-tenant support, and AI-assisted project onboarding.
